April 1, 2017 - April Fools

Mason is now getting to the age that he understands practical jokes, wants to do them to people.  So for this April Fools Day I did one on him.  I told him I made a Brownie in a cup for him & had aluminum foil over it & handed it to him.  He was ao excited.  He took the foil off & with a sad look on his face was very disappointed there

was no brownie in the cup, but just a brown E.  I guess he had forgotten about it being April Fools Day.

Better Luck next year Mason.

Our 10 Year Anniversary

I can’t believe it has been 10 years.  I know the saying “it feels like just yesterday” is over used, well I’m not going to say that it feels like yesterday, but it does only feel like it’s only been a couple of years.  And I guess the saying time flies by when you having fun really is true.

Happy Anniversary Babe.

March 4, 2017 - His first time roller skating

Mommy and son date night.  I wanted to teach him how to rollover skate.  He did really well!  He fell a lot, but got right back up and kept going.  At the end of the night he took one really good fall and hit his chin & had had enough & called it a night.  But it was also last song.

He also ask fo go back.  So I guess he had fun.

February 15, 2017 - 100th Day of School

Today Mason’s school celebrated the 100th day of school & they encouraged the kids to dress up.  Mason wanted to look like an old man.  I had to add the ear hair.  Hehehe. It’s all about the small details.

January 5, 2017 - Hair Show

Melissa and I took a road trip to Northern Virginia for our first hair show.  It was so cool watching & learning from some experienced stylist.  I can’t wait for the next show.

January 11, 2017 - Can’t say no to virgin hair

My sister in-law ask if I could color her hair.  I couldn’t say no, first she is my sister in-law & secondly she has virgin hair.   I balayage her hair & added some low lights.    So happy with the outcome.  I think I may have created a monster.  Hehehe

January 7, 2017 - Snow Day

With a little bit of a warning that we would be snowed in.  We purchased some paint and decided to upgrade the living room some.

December 27, 2016 vs June 2009.

In June 2009 Richie was sent to Norrhern VA for work.  At the end of the week I went up to visit & we walked around DC.  I found out few days later that I was pregnant with Mason.

It was so cool to find the same spot Richie and I took this photo back in 09 on our trip with Mason.  I just had to recreate the photo but with Mason fully in it this time.

December 26 - 28, 2016 - Trip to Washington DC

The day after Christmas we took Mason up to Washington DC to go to the Smithsonian and the Zoo.

I only wish we would have gone to the Zoo the first day instead of the second.  It was so so cold out,  I thought my ears and nose were going to fall off walking around the Zoo.  Plus a lot of the animals weren’t out because of the weather also.

Christmas 2016

We have had Richie’s family over to our house early, before mason gets up for the last few years. It has been a blessing.  The look on his face when he comes out of the hallway & sees everyone & all the presents that are under the tree.  One year there was hardly any room to sit with all the gifts spewing out from under the tree.  One happy 6 year old.  That’s all that matters!

December 21, 2016 - Gingerbread House

It’s getting close to Christmas, what better way to celebrate then having the daycare kids decorate a gingerbread house.  I love seeing how they work together.

December 9, 2016 - Class field trip

I had the honor to help out with Mason’s 1st Grade field trip.  It was so cute to see two of my daycare kids join right in with his class photo.  They are like sisters to Mason, can you tell?

December 7, 2016 - Santa Photos

6 years we have been able to hold his faith in Santa.  We begin to wonder if this is the last year.  Questions have been ask about our jolly old friend. For now we hope he believes long enough to be able to see the joy in his eyes on Christmas morning after Santa has visited.

We’ve also been lucky enough to have the same Santa at Bass Pro Shop each year.  Not sure how we did that.
